BANGKOK, Thailand. – The Aviagen® Indian River® and Ross® support teams were excited to welcome customers and industry colleagues to the sixth International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing and Aquaculture Exposition (ILDEX) Indonesia 2023, held from Sept. 20-22. The event presented a significant opportunity for the teams to engage with key stakeholders from the local poultry industry, strengthening regional connections. Together, participants shared ideas and strategies to optimize the performance, efficiency, health and welfare of Indian River and Ross birds at both the Parent Stock and broiler levels, ultimately promoting economic success for poultry producers.
Acknowledging that knowledge is key to this success, on Sept. 20, International Product Manager for Aviagen Asia Pacific Dominic Elfick addressed the audience on the essential role of biosecurity in broiler operations. In light of recent challenges such as bird illness and other supply chain disruptions, biosecurity is key in providing breeder and broiler customers with an uninterrupted supply of healthy breeding stock, while safeguarding food security. Additionally, on Sept. 21, Bastian Prayogo, Aviagen Asia Pacific’s Associate Technical Service Manager, provided invaluable insight into “brooding: checkpoints for performance.” He emphasized proven methods for maintaining optimal conditions to keep birds warm, safe and prepared for future productivity and welfare during this critical developmental phase.
Reflecting on the event's success, Rafael Monleon, Business Manager for Aviagen Asia Pacific, shared "ILDEX Indonesia 2023 exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled to connect with our valued customers and poultry professionals within the local community. Indonesia holds a strategic position in Aviagen's global market, and we remain dedicated to supporting the industry's growth and sustainability. We extend our gratitude to all who contributed to making ILDEX Indonesia 2023 a memorable and productive event.”
